The Lenovo Chromebook C330 might be the best cheap laptop you’ve ever heard of, and I’m here to tell you about it.

With the growth of online businesses and jobs, more and more people tend to use laptops for portability. This gives them the real sense of freedom they are looking for: being able to work anytime, anywhere.

While others are still unsure whether to buy a Windows laptop or a Chromebook, some have already fallen in love with Chromebooks. Chrome laptops are generally much cheaper than Windows laptops, and that’s enough for most people to make the purchase.

As Chromebooks became more popular, expensive devices like Google’s Pixelbook began to leave the market. However, there are many cheap Chromebooks on the market. In this article, I will focus on one of them in this Lenovo Chromebook C330 magazine. I consider it the best mobile phone on the market.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 Overview

Version

The Lenovo Chromebook C330 is a unique 2-in-1 convertible notebook. This essentially means that it can be used as both a laptop and a tablet. In the center of the laptop is a large hinge that allows the laptop to be tilted back for tablet functionality.

As soon as you flip the screen, all active applications automatically switch to full screen mode and are ready to use on the tablet. Of course the Lenovo Chromebook C330 is equipped with a touchscreen.

The C330 is made entirely of plastic and therefore weighs only 2.6 pounds. Although it is made of plastic, it is very sturdy and well made.

Keyboard spacing is very good to medium, so the learning curve is very low. It is very easy to use and customize, unlike other keyboards. It is also pleasant to browse every time you press a button.

All laptop ports are located on the sides of the computer. On the left side is a USB-C port that you can use to charge your laptop. You can also connect a monitor through this slot to display a higher resolution. In addition, there is an HDMI port for connecting the monitor. Note that there is no dual display function. Only one monitor can be connected at a time. Finally, there is a USB-A slot and a microSD slot for external flash drives and microSD cards.

On the right side of the laptop is a slot for a Kensington lock, which allows you to secure your laptop to the table if you wish. On this side you will also find the power button, volume switch and headphone jack.

Power

The Lenovo Chromebook C330 is equipped with the MediaTek MT8173C processor. This is the same ARM-based processor we last saw in the Acer Chromebook. However, unlike the Acer Chromebook, it has an IPS screen, which we don’t usually see in this price range.

It also comes with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage. I highly recommend investing in a high-end storage device, since the laptop itself is already cheap.

The battery life is impressive. After a week of use, I reached an average autonomy of 8 to 10 hours, depending on the intensity of use. I normally spend 10 hours researching, sailing and writing. But if you play this game, the battery will last about 8 hours.

Adjust your expectations for actual occupancy. Beware, we are not talking about the Lenovo Carbon X1. You will feel a drop in the image and a slight shift, especially when scrolling across the touch screen. Still, the C330 is very impressive in its price range and is significantly faster than most low-budget Chromebooks.

Finally, it is also very important to note that this device cannot run Linux programs. If you are someone who works a lot with Linux software, then this device is clearly not for you.

Display

This Chromebook Convertible has a 10-dot IPS touchscreen for easy viewing in tablet, stand, or laptop mode. It has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels on an 11.6-inch HD screen.

Compared to more expensive laptops, the screen is not very bright. But for watching videos, I find it sufficient.

As for the games, it’s ambitious to get everything on full screen. Like the Samsung Galaxy S8’s display when it was released, the new size ratio is not yet compatible with existing applications.

Audio

The Lenovo Chromebook C330 has 2 speakers. Unfortunately, they’re at the bottom of the laptop. All right, down there! This means that when used on a laptop, the sound quality is rather muted.

Lenovo is designed so that you can watch videos in tent mode here. In this form, the speaker himself will look at the screen and shoot in your direction. In tablet mode, on the other hand, the speakers are sandwiched between the screen and the keyboard.

Still, the sound quality is surprisingly good. Most laptops in this price range have weak speakers, but not this one.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 Overview

Rating

8.5 of 10

I don’t like the color, the white of the blizzard. It’s very easy to get dirty and most of my gear is black. Plus, I don’t like the placement of the speakers on this thing, I don’t get it.

That said, the Lenovo Chromebook C330 is incredibly affordable. Despite all the drawbacks, you can’t deny the value you get from this unit.

It is a high-tech device for viewing, searching and watching videos. The only warning would be the hardcore game. Emulators work very well in this device though, so you can play old games on old consoles.

It is the perfect combination of portability and functionality in a very affordable device. Actually, the best of both worlds is in your pocket. You can buy the Lenovo Chromebook C330 on Amazon.com.

Are Lenovo Chromebooks any good?

The Lenovo Chromebook C330 offers plenty of stamina, and the keyboard lets you type comfortably. Unfortunately, the C330’s performance is mediocre and its low-frequency reproduction is unimpressive. … But if you want your Chromebook to have both an HDMI port and long battery life, the Chromebook C330 is worth a look.

Why not buy a Chromebook?

The Chromebook is just not powerful enough to manage audio or video projects. So if you’re a media or communications student, it’s probably not a good idea to buy a cheap Chromebook for your school projects. They will have to wait until they are browser based and hope they work better than MS Office.

What is the difference between the Lenovo C330 and C340?

While the C330 is all plastic, the C340-11 is a little fancier with an aluminum body, although the rest of the case is plastic. Despite the switch to a metal cover, the weight does not change and the C340-11 is as easy to transport as its predecessor in a crowded classroom or coffee shop.
